Rivets Nuts, Nut inserts, Pop nuts
Rivet nuts are internally threaded fasteners that are anchored from just one side of a workpiece or application. They are an excellent component to use to add strength to thin materials, which is particularly important as the manufacturing trend is moving toward thinner and lighter substrates – such as soft sheet metals, thin hardened aluminium or steel skins, plastics, composites, and/or carbon fiber. In short, a rivet nut creates a threaded point onto the application where multiple bolts and accessories can be attached. A rivet nut is preferred when disassembly of the components is required on periodic intervals.
Typical applications: Switchgear, Enclosures, Furniture, Generator Canopies, Aluminium substructures.
